Skånes Djurpark

Scania’s Zoo

Don’t miss Scania’s Zoo called Skånes Djurpark – the world’s largest reserve for exclusivly Nordic spicies – only two kilometres from the cottages. The reserve is open year round. All children under 16 enter free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

The animals

There are several animals on the farm to the delight of both adults and children. Pedigree cows and calves, cats and in the summer rabbits. Our neighbours have sheep and lambs. There is also a variety of wild animals to be seen in the forest.

Horse riding

During the summer and at weekends duning autumn and spring there is pony riding at Skånes Djurpark. We also have agreement with the local stable - Ringsjöortens Ryttarförening and Ringhult Islandic Horses. Read more.

Fishing

Do you enjoy fishing? There are several excellent oppertunities in the area. Perch, pike, zander and eel are plentiful in the nearby lakes. On the farm there are rainbow traut and freshwater crayfish in the small lakes beside the cottages. Read more.

Boat and canoe

Rowing boats and conoes are avaliable for rent in both the local lakes and those on the farm. Bring picknick and make a day of it. In the winter - remenber ice skates instead!

Swimming in the lakes or at Höör’s waterworld

There is a small bathing lake on the farm. In addition the picturesque Vaxsjön lake is only two kilometres from the cottages. A little further away lies Dagstorpssjön lake surrounded a beech wood.

Golf

Try your hand at Golf round Bosjöklosters picturesque course – which is open all year.
Here you can rent clubs and golf carts. Suitable both for the novice and the scratch player. The course professional Fredrik Persson is available to give lessons to beginners and experienced players alike. Read more.

Foot paths

The foot paths are many and the popular Skåneleden (a long distance path transecting southern Sweden) passes by the cottages. While taking long, relaxing strolls in the unique nature you’ll find berries and mushrooms in nature’s own pantry. Or why not try the beautiful path around Vaxsjön lake, where is also possible to take a pram.

Close to Lund, Malmö and Denmark

From Höör it's easy to go by train to Lund and Malmö – both with a rich culture, many stores and a lot of places to go out. Denmark has a lot to offer – the Tivoli, the famous street Ströget, the tasty smörrebröd and museums! From Höörs it's easy to take the train directly to Copenhagen or take the car over the Öresund Bridge and approximately one hour later you're in our pleasant neighbour country.

Enjoy the peace and quiet

There are many who make the trip to Ullstorp simply to take it easy and recharge their batteries. To be able to enjoy the nature and peacefulness far away from the hustle and bustle of city life can be the best type of recreation your body and soul could ask for.
